About the University of Tübingen

Innovative. Interdisciplinary. International.

These three words summarize what makes the University of Tübingen special. Excellent research and teaching are Tübingen’s answer to the challenges of the future in a globalized world. It maintains exchanges with partners around the globe - both at institutions of higher education and at non-university research institutions. Networks and cooperation across faculty and subject boundaries are the pillars of its successful strategy. This is reflected in its good position in international rankings. In addition, it is one of the eleven German universities distinguished with the title of “excellent.”

CSU IP's programs in Germany are administered by full-time local CSU staff. The program begins with an intensive six-week Intensive Language Program (ILP) in Horb, a small town near Tübingen. The ILP is a German language and culture course focusing on grammar, composition, and conversation, as well as an introduction to German culture. Students then move to Tübingen to continue their studies and enroll in one German course in addition to other coursework.
