About the University of Tübingen

The University of Tübingen ranks within the top 100 universities in the world and the top 10 in Germany according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Especially lauded for its research in Education, Humanities, and Medicine, the University of Tübingen offers a quality education in diverse fields of study. CSU IP's programs in Germany are administered by full-time local CSU staff.

The program begins with an intensive six-week Preparatory Language Program (PLP) in Horb, a small town near Tübingen. The PLP is a German language and culture course focusing on grammar, composition, and conversation, as well as an introduction to German culture. Students then move to Tübingen, and during the fall semester (October-February) take courses in German language and culture specifically designed for the CSU program. During the spring semester, students have the option of continuing at the University of Tübingen or attending another university in the state of Baden-Württemberg. The universities offer a wide variety of academic programs, similar to the number of campuses and programs within the CSU system.
