Chico State Study Abroad scholarship application through the USAC program. Scholarship award amounts range from $500 to $2,500!

Eligibility:
  • Applicant must be applying or admitted to a University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) study abroad program.
  • A 2.75 GPA is preferred. If your GPA is lower than 2.75, please explain in the Personal Statement section. 

The application will ask for you to share the following:

Statement of Purpose: Share who you are, and how studying abroad will help you achieve your future academic or professional goals. If you have faced significant academic difficulties, tell us about those and how you are overcoming them.

Scholarship Impact: Address the reasons you should be considered for this study abroad scholarship, and how you plan on using the money.

Building Global Community: How will you seek opportunities to become more culturally engaged and have meaningful interactions with people and cultures different from your own during your abroad program?

Selection Information
Students have the ability to apply to the Chico State USAC scholarship if they meet eligibility requirements, and will apply under the "Summer", "Fall", or "Spring" term application. Applicants are not guaranteed a scholarship. All applications will be reviewed by a committee of university personnel. All applicants will be notified of the results via TREK. The scholarship will be applied directly to your USAC fees and will be applicable only to USAC-sponsored programs.
